Preparing an IT Budget

Calculating the IT budget is one of the first steps in the software selection process. The budget is utilized in developing the business case, calculating the potential return on investment, and in evaluating or comparing potential software suppliers. Knowing how much funding is required and preparing a detailed proposal for that spending is a vital step in planning for any new software purchase.
